Round Table: Decision support systems applied to urban planning: perspectives, opportunities and difficulties

The geospatial decision support systems (S-DSS), thanks to the availability of new IT technologies (GCI), promise to contribute strongly to a better planning of large area. But the adoption of these systems imposes new challenges to researchers, planners and territorial bodies.

The round table, after a general presentation on the use of technologies illustrated thanks to the Horizon 2020 project LANDSUPPORT, aims to analyze the opportunities and problems related to the use of the different perspectives – such as those of research, profession and institutions.
